President Bola Tinubu will on Sunday, November 17, welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a State Visit at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

A statement by Tinubu’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga said the Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Nigeria on Saturday.

His visit to Nigeria will be the first by an Indian prime minister since Dr Manmohan Singh’s state visit in 2007 when the two nations established a strategic partnership.

Onanuga said President Tinubu and Prime Minister Modi will have further talks on how to strengthen Nigeria and India’s ties.

He said both leaders will exchange signed Memoranda of Understanding, MoUs to enhance collaboration in critical sectors.

DAILY POST reports that the two countries had on Friday signed three Memorandums of Understanding, MoUs to strengthen the bilateral relations.

Ambassador Dumoma Umar Ahmed, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nigeria signed the MoU on behalf of the Nigerian government while Mr Dammu Ravi, India’s Secretary of Economic Relations signed for his country.
