Tinubu seeks confirmation of Ondo REC, two others

President Bola Tinubu has sent the name of Ondo Resident Electoral Commissioner, Feyisinmi Ibiyemi, to the Senate for approval.

He also submitted the names of two Federal commissioners: Tukur AbdulRazak (Northwest) and Professor Sunday Ajah (Southeast).

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, read the correspondence during Tuesday’s plenary session.

The request has been referred to the Committee on the Independent National Electoral Commission, which is expected to review the nominations and report back promptly.
