As if you could forget, the original movie was released in 2001, followed by its sequel, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, in 2004.

Almost two decades later, in November 2022, it was revealed that a third film was in the works, but nothing more had really been said about it until Anne took to her Instagram page on Saturday.

In a video, the actor filmed herself holding up one finger before cutting to a clip from the first movie. She then put up a second finger, and a clip from the sequel played.

Finally, Anne smiled broadly as she slowly raised a third finger and cut to a screenshot of a news report about the third film. 

“Shut up,” she exclaimed in the video, blowing a kiss to her fans. And in case there was any doubt, Anne confirmed in the post’s caption: “Miracles happen ✨👑 Back to Genovia with @adeleblim @disney @somewherepictures. The fairy tale continues ❤️‍🔥”
